The Tortoise and the Hare
The Tortoise and the Hare is a traditional Aesop Fable. This particular version is an e-book that can be accessed through the attached link. This classic fable can be used in the classroom from elementary school through middle school to teach the fable genre or to teach the fable lesson, slow and steady wins the race. The synopsis of this classic traditional literature for those a bit rusty is that a tortoise and a hare get in a race. The tortoise moves slow but he keeps trying the whole time. The hare is quick, but he is arrogant and he rushes through the race so fast that he gets tired and takes a nap. While he is napping the tortoise passes him and wins the race.
