Wiseman, B. (1991) Morris the Moose. New York: Harper Trophy
Morris the Moose is an I can read book for pre-school through second grade. This is a wildly entertaining book for young readers. This is a colorfully illustrated book about a Moose who acts like a human. At first, Morris wants to find out what he is, so he asks the cow. They decide that he can't be a cow because he has antlers. So, he and the cow go on a mission to find out what he really is. They ask a deer, but that's not right. They eventually find out that Morris is indeed a Moose and Morris claims that he made a Moostake. This is a great book for kids that are just learning to read.
