A is for Animals

Pelham, David. (1991) A is for Animals. New York: Little Simon Publishers
This is a new twist on the classic ABC chart. This is geared towards pre-school age children that are learning their alphabet. Each page features two letters, like in the picture to the right, along with a pop-up animal that the letter stands for. I think this book is interesting because it not only reinforces the alphabet for young learners but it also uses unique animals such as the toucan, narwal, queztal, and xenops which young children, or even some adults, may not have yet been introduced to.
