The Littlest Knight is an e-book that can be accessed through the link. This is also a fairy tale which can be utilized when teaching genres to all children. The actual content of this e-book is appropriate for middle elementary grades such as 2-4. The story goes that there was a young blacksmith who longed for the princess. One day a dragon came to the kingdom and began burning buildings by day and sneaking off to his lair by night. Many knights tried to kill the dragon but they failed. The king declared that any knight who could kill the dragon would be granted half of the kingdom. The blacksmith watched the other's fail but felt he could prevail. He went to the kingdom and asked to be knighted so that he could kill the dragon. On his way to kill the dragon the blacksmith came across a fallen bee hive. He began to put the bee hive back in the tree when the bees asked him to very kindly move them because all of the other knights had struck their hive. When the blacksmith reached the dragon to fight the bees helped him. After solving riddles the blacksmith resolved that the dragon had been bewitched. Finally, the blacksmith saved the dragon, who promised to protect the kingdom, and got half the kingdom and married the princess.
